Fall Heritage Days

The Museum of Appalachia invites students and families to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of early Appalachian life during its annual Fall Heritage Days event series. Guests will experience Open Fire Cooking, Storytelling, Shape-Note Singing, Rug Hooking, Pumpkin Carving, Sorghum Mill, Basket Making, Spinning & Weaving, Broom Making, Lard Rendering, Blacksmithing, Lye Soap Making, Coopering, Wood Carving, Colonial Soldier and Seamstress Demonstrations, Quilting, Corn Milling, Flintknapping, and more!
